I started my journey in photography at the age of 12 when my dad gave me a camera for my birthday. I was instantly hooked. For many years I shot photos as a hobby, capturing the world around me and sharing my images with anyone who would take the time to look at my scrapbook albums.
In the spring of 2001 my cousin decided I was going to shoot her wedding photos. Terrified at the prospect of being solely responsible for her wedding images, I forged ahead...with great success! From there the referrals started coming in and I decided that it was time to get educated and start my business.
I joined my local, state, and national photography associations: Professional Photographers of America, Professional Photographers of California, and Professional Photographers of the North Valley. In 2005, 2006, 2009, and 2010 I was named Wedding Photographer of the Year by PPNV. I currently serve as Vice President of PPNV, where I work to bring exciting educational and creative opportunities to other photographers in Northern California.
